Our train leaves the James Gang Depot frequently and rolls gracefully over almost one mile of track through open grassland and areas with majestic, mature cypress trees. It crosses our lagoon on two occasions, giving a good view, at times, to a variety of ducks, geese, turtles and pelicans. Most of the 10-minute ride is through areas where the animals are free to roam as they wish. This often results in close encounters with zebra, camel, ostrich, emu, and even an African watusi!

Our train drivers take their job very seriously... and we hope to be adding a new sound system to the train for guided tours.  Meet Mr. Bob!  He's one of our train drivers!

The train generally operates year-around but may have a reduced schedule during the winter months. Tickets can be purchased at the main office. Regular tickets are only $3 per person, 2 years old and under are free.  We also have a brand new ADA compliant, handicap-accessible train car thanks to a very generous donor.

We also offer a guest conductor package that includes an engineer's cap, wooden train whistle, souvenir lanyard and a ride on the locomotive - all for only $20. Children under the age of 5 are required to ride in the lap of their parent or other responsible adult. There is NOT an additional fee for this seating arrangement.
