Also, join us on Facebook in the "Quit LION around... the Monroe Zoo needs YOU!" group.
We schedule volunteer days quarterly that involve gardening, building, painting and repairs to animal exhibits. There is always a need for help around the zoo!
We encourage community organizations to plan projects that will benefit the LPG&Z. Then present the plan to the zoo director for approval. Once approved, a date can be set for your group to implement your plan. Some examples include Garden Club and Eagle Scout projects that enhance the zoo.
The Zoological Society is currently recruiting Guest Engagement Teams to work together to ensure the safety of guests and animals and to help connect guests with the natural world and support the zoo's conservation education mission.
A special thank you to Mark Snellgrove for spearheading our Volunteer Program!
