Reticulated pythons, native to southern and southeastern Asia, are non-venomous constrictors.
In the wild, they eat birds and mammals, including deer and boar.
This is the world&rsquos longest snake, reaching more than 20 feet in length. The longest in captivity measured just over 28 feet.
Excellent swimmers, they have been found in oceans and have populated islands. Reticulated pythons are named for the criss-cross patterns on their back. The snakes are hunted for the commercial skin trade.
