Community and Group Volunteers

Zoo Projects

We schedule volunteer days periodically that involve gardening, building, painting and repairs to animal exhibits. There is always a need for help around the zoo!

Paws On Volunteer Days (9am to 11am):

Community Service and Local Organization Projects

We encourage community organizations to plan projects that will benefit the LPG&Z.
Then present the plan to the zoo director for approval.
Once approved, a date can be set for your group to implement your plan.
Some examples include Garden Club and Eagle Scout projects that enhance the zoo.

Individual Volunteers

 Adults  over 18 can volunteer as greeters, docents or project leaders at the Zoo.
Adult volunteers may request assignments for their school aged youth to join them, if age appropriate projects are available.
